What is the Report Explorer?

It allows you to navigate through the data easily and perform the following tasks for any chosen data set:

  • View individual surveys
  • Create charts and graphs from quantative data and download
  • Group answers for qualitative based questions and download
  • View and download photos and videos
  • Export and download all the data

You can also give you client direct access to Report Explorer. See: Giving your clients access for how to create client Report Explorer accounts.

Creating pie charts

To build a pie chart we must first select a question and add data sources:

Follow these steps to create your pie charts:

  • 'Choose your question to report upon' to create a pie chart in the top left block by selecting the pie chart icon to the left of the question:
  • Now you must 'Choose your data sources' in the top right block:
    • You can select your data sources based upon:
      • By Reports (Individual surveys)
        • You can also select 'All submissions' here
      • By Location
      • By staff
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page:
  • You selected questions and data sources will be shown as follows. Click on Generate to create your pie chart
  • You have options to Print and Download the pie chart:

Creating bar graphs

To build a bar graph we must first select a question, add data sources and select the graph type:

Follow these steps to create your bar graphs:

  • 'Choose your question to report upon' to create a bar graph in the top left block by selecting the bar graph icon to the left of the question:
  • Now you must 'Choose your data sources' in the top right block:
    • You can select your data sources based upon:
      • By Reports (Individual surverys)
        • You can also select 'All submissions' here
      • By Location
      • By staff
    • To create a useful bar graph with multiple columns it is recommended to selected multiple sources
  • Select the type of graph using the dropdown above the generate button:
    • Count
    • Percentage
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page:
  • You selected questions and data sources will be shown as follows. Click on Generate to create your bar graph
  • You have options to Print and Download the pie chart:

View list data

To view lists of data we must first select a question, add data sources and select the graph type:

Follow these simple steps to create lists of data:

  • 'Choose your question to report upon' to create your list in the top left block by selecting the list icon to the left of the question:
  • Now you must 'Choose your data sources' in the top right block:
    • You can select your data sources based upon:
      • By Reports (Individual surveys)
        • You can also select 'All submissions' here
      • By Location
      • By staff
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page:
  • Your selected questions and data sources will be shown as follows. Click on Generate to view your list
  • You have options to Print and Download the list:

Viewing and downloading photos

Follow these steps to view and download photos:

  • Select the View Photos tab:
  • Now you must 'Choose your data sources' in the top right block:
    • You can select your data sources based upon:
      • By Reports (Individual surveys)
        • You can also select 'All submissions' here
      • By Location
      • By staff
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page:
  • Your data sources will be shown as follows. Click on Load Photos to show your photos
  • You have options in the top right of each block to Print and Download the photos individually or in batches

 

 

Viewing and download videos

Follow these steps to view and download videos:

  • Select the View Videos tab:
  • Now you must 'Choose your data sources' in the top right block:
    • You can select your data sources based upon:
      • By Reports (Individual surveys)
        • You can also select 'All submissions' here
      • By Location
      • By staff
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page:
  • Your data sources will be shown as follows. Click on Load Videos to show your videos
  • You have options in the top right of each block to view and download the videos individually or in batches

Exporting data to CSV

Follow these steps to export data to a CSV file.

  • Select the Export Data to CSV tab
  • If you need to limit the date range of the data do this at the top of the page
  • You can use the Export Selected block to first select the questions you wish to export
    • You can use the Select All to select all questions and then unselect questions individually you don't want to export
    • Or just select question individually
  • Then use the next Export block to export the data
    • Use Export All to simply export all data
    • Use Export SELECTED to export only the questions selected

View individual surveys

With the data source top right block on the By Reports tab you have a button to view each individual survey
