Job invites
The Job Market job description isnt showing for staff when I invite them to jobs
To ensure a Job Market job description is added for when you invite staff to job:
- Go to the Shifts page for the job. You can get to the shifts page
- Via the dashboard
- Go to the Job in the left column
- Select Goto > Shifts
- Via the main jobs list
- Go to Jobs > View Jobs
- Click on the Shifts button for your job
- Go to Jobs > View Jobs
- Via the dashboard
- Click on Publish all > Add/Edit the Job Market desc.
- Click on Use copy from job description
- This will now populate the copy from the job description with the Job Overview (Setup) page. You can tweak this copy accordingly should it need to differ from the original.
- Click on Publish to set this as the Job Market job description for when you invite staff
I have invited staff to a fixed shift job but they cannot see the jobs or shifts in their staffarea Job Market
If you have invited staff to jobs and shifts, but the staff cannot see those jobs or shifts in their Job Market or Invited jobs pages of their staffarea it could be due to one of the following reasons.
Please note that these reasons are only applicable to a job added with fixed shifts:
1. The shifts are in the past
It could be that you have accidentally invited staff to shifts in the past and staff will not receive invites to shifts that are in the past.
You have two methods of inviting staff:
- If you are Inviting to a single job or multiple jobs (as a whole) you will be able to invite to any job with vacant shifts in the past and future but the staff will only receive invites for upcoming vacant shifts on that job.
- If you are Inviting staff to shifts on one job you won't be able to select individual shifts that are in the past
2. Job Market search radius
Within the Job Market staff have a set of filters at the top of the page. One of these filters when applied will only show shifts within a certain radius:
Staff can manually change this to allow for a wider radius search.
The default value for this filter can be changed in Settings > Staff Options > Default Job Market search radius
3. The staff status is restricting access to the Job Market
Within Settings > Staff options > Staff statuses a status can have a restriction added to not allow access to the Job Market. This restriction would need to be removed in order for staff to see the jobs and shifts they are invited to.
4. You might have shortlisted staff to a job instead of inviting them
Whilst you can shortlist staff to a fixed shift job this will not show those shifts on the Job Market. For any fixed shift job, you would need to use the job invite feature for those shifts to be visible to staff in their Job Market.
