What is a shift check-off?

This is to confirm staff attendance to a shift a certain amount of days ahead of that shift. The check-off process can be performed by you or automated for staff to check-off themselves.

This can be very useful when staff are booked onto shifts weeks in advance.

Manually checking off a shift

To manually check-off staff to confirm their attendance:

  • Go to your Dashboard and click on Options > Check-off next to the shift
  • The details of the check-off will be shown in the shift status log as above
    • Admin user who performed the check-off
    • Time and date stamp of the check-off

Automating the shift check-off process

To automate the shift check-off process to allow staff to confirm their own attendance

  • In the Job overview go to the Automatic Shift Reminders section
    • Add the total days before the shift to send the reminder
    • Add the method of communication for the check-off reminders
  • Based on the above example the check-off process would be initiated 4 days before the shift
    • Staff will receive an email and an SMS. Example default SMS message
      • Staff can click the link in the SMS and email to confirm their attendance
    • A check-off button will appear next to their shift on their dashboard
    • A check-off button will appear next to the shift under My Jobs > Booked jobs
  • Upon staff checking themselves off you will see this status update on the main portal dashboard
